Natalie Dormer
(born 11 February 1982) is an English actress. She has won an Empire Award and
been nominated for two Gemini Awards, two Critics Choice Awards and two Screen
Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in Reading, Berkshire. She was known by
playing the character of Anne Boleyn in the character she played on the
Showtime series The Tudors (2008), that earned her acclaim. In Sweet Nothings
(2010), she made her stage debut. She was also the Duchess Of York in Madonna's
W.E. (2011), Private Lorraine in Captain America The First Avenger (2011). The
Young Vic praised her performance in After Miss Julie (2012). Dormer was
praised internationally and received the spotlight for her role in the roles of
Margaery Tyrell (2012-2016 on HBO) and Cressida (2014-2015 on The Hunger
Games), which are among her most-watched films. She also voiced of Onica in The
Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2018), Sara Price Jess Price in The Forest
(2016), and Irene Adler/Moriarty for the CBS series Elementary (2013)-15. Her
character in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, a miniseries about Penny Dreadful,
was highly praised. Dormer was born in Reading (Berkshire), England on 11
February 1982. She is the daughter of Gary Dormer, Claire Richards and Samantha
Dormer.
