Pom Klementieff

Pom Klementieff (born 3 May 1986) is a French actress from France. She attended the Cours Florent drama academy in Paris. Her roles include Loup (2009) as well as Sleepless Night (2011). She portrays the role of Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. (2017). Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Avengers: Endgame (2019). Pom Klementieff was raised in Quebec City to a Korean father and a French-Russian mother. He worked as consul for the French government. Eugene Klementieff was her grandfather. Since it sounds like the Korean words for "spring" or "tiger" Her parents gave their daughter the name Pom. Klementieff resided in Canada for a year prior to her family traveled extensively due to her father's employment. Prior to making the move to France, they lived in Japan as well as on the Ivory Coast. Her father, who passed away aged 5 of cancer was also her mother. She was also suffering from schizophrenia , and could not care for her kids. Klementieff was raised with her paternal uncle and aunt. Her uncle, who she described in her own words as "like her father from childhood," died on Klementieff’s 18th birthday. The older brother of her died seven years after his death. The second time, it was on her 25th. Following the death of her uncle, Klementieff went to law school for a short time to satisfy her aunt. However, she did not find the career path appealing. In France she was employed as a waitress and salesperson. She started acting at age 19 in the Cours Florent drama school in Paris. After a few months of education, she won the competition for theater, which gave her free tuition for two years with the school's top teachers. The first role she had in professional acting was in the French independent film Apres lui (2007), acting as the stepdaughter in the film of the main character, which was played by Catherine Deneuve. Filming for her scenes was a three-day process. One scene had Klementieff pushing a person down a set of steps, and she fell. Gael Morel saved that scene for the final film. Loup (2009) was which is a French film about Siberian reindeer herders, was her debut big role. She was filming in an isolated camp, which was a few hours from the nearest village. There, temperatures plunged to zero.
