Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara is a Colombian-American actress and a presenter. Vergara was the highest-paid actress on American television from 2013 to 2020. Vergara rose in prominence as host of two shows on Univision's Spanish-language TV network in the early 1990s. Chasing Papi (2003) was Vergara's first significant acting gig in English. Later, she appeared in Four Brothers (2006) and Tyler Perry's comedy Jail (2008). She was nominated for an ALMA Award for the former. She first made her mark with ABC's comedy series Modern Family in 2009. As a result of this role, she was honored with four Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards. Her voice-overs included Happy Feet Two (2011) and Escape from Planet Earth (2013). She was also in The Emoji Movie (2017). Vergara was also the highest-paid Hollywood actress in the year 2020 [citation required]. Vergara is a judge on America’s Got Talent since 2020. Vergara was born into a Roman Catholic family from Barranquilla. [8] Vergara's mother Margarita Vergara was a housewife and her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher. Her five siblings and many of her relatives were known as "Toti". Vergara was a student for three years studying dentistry at National University of Colombia. However, she decided to withdraw from the school two semesters in advance to explore opportunities in show business and modeling.
