Dawson (born May 9, 1979)[3] is an American actress and producer. In 1995, she
made her debut in a feature film with the drama independent Kids. The roles she
played in subsequent films include He Got Game (1998), Josie and the Pussycats
(2001), Men in Black II (2002), Rent (2005), Sin City (2005), Clerks II (2006),
Death Proof (2007), Seven Pounds (2008), Percy Jackson & the Olympians:
The Lightning Thief (2010), Unstoppable (2010), Zookeeper (2011), Trance
(2013), Top Five (2014) and Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). Dawson has voiced
characters for Warner Bros./DC Comics, Disney/Marvel and ViacomCBS Nickelodeon.
She has also been nominated for the Critics' Choice Film Award for Best actress
in a Comedy for Top Five (2014), Trance (2013), Top Five (2014), and Zombieland
Double Tap (2019). Dawson was born on the 9th of May, 1979, in New York City.
Isabel Celeste, her mother is Afro-Cuban. Isabel was 16 years old when Rosario
was born. Isabel was never married to Rosario's father, Patrick C. Harris.
Rosario's mom, Greg Dawson, was a construction worker at the age of one year
old. Dawson is four years younger than Clay. Clay is Dawson’s half-brother.
Dawson is also well-known for her various roles in comic book adaptions. In
2020, she voiced Ahsoka Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian, and is
due to play the forthcoming Disney+ original series Ahsoka. She will also be a
regular role in the Dwayne Johnson autobiographical comedy series Young Rock in
2021.
